Our latest update on the current global crisis of Covid - 19
Due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and in support of the Government’s social distancing policy our office is CLOSED for the foreseeable future. Therefore, any Day Trip, Holiday & Private Hire Enquiry cannot be dealt with and so we ask NOT to call our depot (0191 410 4107). The ONLY staff who will be in the depot are staff considered key workers. e.g Service Drivers, Scholar Contracts. I hope that you will understand and support us in this respect.
Further to the government's ongoing announcements we will be unable to operate any Day Trips or Holidays up to and including 31st May and so we will be postponing or cancelling these departures.
Our sales team have been contacting our clients directly in departure date order regarding their booking, if you have not already been contacted by them regarding your booking we will do so on our return.
Your booking and money are safe and we will contact everyone in departure date order. Please be patient and wait for us to contact you.
Passengers booked on Coach Holidays
ALL passengers who have booked a holiday with JH & Thirlwells Holidays, their money is PROTECTED through travel regulation insolvency protection by Towergate Travel through Zurich Insurance PLC. This means in the unlikely event our business was to fail, your money would be refunded by our insurance scheme. We reiterate this as we are uncertain on when we can return to the office and we want you to be assured your money is safe.
On our return will give you the opportunity to transfer to another holiday, or a credit towards a future one either this year or next. This unprecedented situation is deemed as “Force Majeure” in our booking conditions, which is an event we have no control over. Otherwise known as “an act of god”.
Passengers booked on Day Trips
If you have booked on any trip before May 31st and wish to contact us, please email us on email@example.com. Trips after 31st May are not cancelled as yet. However, if you wish to transfer your booking to another date in the future you may do so without any charge by email as above.
We thank all of our valued clients for their support and loyalty at this very difficult time and we hope that you all stay safe and well. Our drivers and staff are very keen to return to work and to see our business up and running and back to normal. All of the JH team are all still employed, no one has lost their job. We all hope to see our friends and customers very soon.
